Aharon Yosef, one of the largest and leading companies in Israel in the field of electronic packaging, started out as a small family company in 1960. The founder of the first business from which the company grew was Yosef Meir Aharon, a Holocaust survivor who immigrated from Hungary at the end of World War II After many hardships, in light of his experience as a tinsmith in the ghetto, he decided to open a workshop in a small warehouse in Jaffa in the only profession he had known and done with great love for many years.
Aharon Yosef came to Israel in his teens and grew up in a small business in Jaffa, where he worked in metalwork, frames and iron boxes and tin.
At the beginning they worked in the factory using manual machines such as guillotine cutting, presses, manual welding and more. In the early 1990s Aharon Yosef was one of the first companies in Israel to introduce laser cutting machines. This enabled the company to perform more accurate work, to reach high production yields and to grow quickly. The prosperous company invested in advanced automatic mechanization: punch machine with automatic head, welding robot, large bending machines and precise machining machines.
Towards the year 2000, the company moved from the new industrial zone of Rishon LeZion to a large plant covering 7,000 dunams in Gan Yavneh, where it still operates today.
